Last weekend we took our second trip to Jamaica Beach to stay at our friend's beach house. We went with the Johnsons and had a great time. Skylar, Brooks, Tanner and Griffin got along really well most of the time and kept each other busy. The kids went out with us on the kayaks and paddleboards - Skylar is a natural! She loved being on the paddleboard and even stood up! She wiggled like she was going to fall off after every paddle stroke but managed to stay upright. She also did a ton of boogie boarding and swimming with Tanner. I love the warm water and gentle waves of the Gulf! Brooks swam with me a lot and enjoyed getting super sandy, pouring water, catching clams and watching them wiggle back into the sand (we all liked this actually), and building mud castles. Chris took the paddleboard out the first morning of our trip and was surprised at how much more challenging it was. Of course I didn't believe him, but all the adults ended up trying it out and we all ended up in the water quite a bit! Nicole and I drove the kids to the beach so we let the boys handle the ride home . . . ahhhh it was a nice relaxing ride home!
