Spring Break!

Giddy up Skylar and Sparkle!
Skylar had rodeo at school to celebrate the start of Spring Break and the start of the fair and rodeo season here in Austin (we missed it though - ugh!). It is always a lot of fun to see Skylar playing with her buddies and having fun! That afternoon my sister and Jay came down and stayed with us the day before they (really just Terri right now) moved down to San Antonio! The kids are already enjoying seeing Aunt Terri more often and have already taken advantage of the pool at her apartment (I'm sure they'll be sad when she moves into a house without a pool!).

Kim, Nicole, me and Susie - night #2. We were significantly more mellow the second night. . .
Some friends and I spend the weekend in San Antonio to celebrate a 40th birthday! It was great fun (at least at night - the mornings were sort of rough - I'm not as young as I used to be) . We were there for the St. Patty's day parade on the river and the dying of the river green.

When we came back from our girls' weekend my mom came to town! Skylar was in heaven - loved playing barbies, "Curious George" (a game my mom and Skylar made up a long time ago that if fun for Skylar, exhausting to my mom and scary to Blossom and Brooks), and doing art projects with my mom. We took another trip to San Antonio so my mom could see my sisters' new apartment but besides that stayed pretty close to home.
My pretty mom and the kids
We took a riverboat cruise on the Riverwalk - very cool and none of the kids threw anything in the water or jumped in!

Chris shaved his head again this year to raise money for the St. Baldrick's Foundation and children's cancer research! We spent the day at the festival and were all so thankful for the health of our kids! There were a lot of really inspirational kids and parents there. Before
And after

"The Pig" Forcible Entry Tool - this is going to make us millions! :)
While all these fun things were going on we were also getting ready for Chris to go to the FDIC convention in Indianapolis and debut his new tool. He has gotten great feedback so far and now we are getting nervous about how we are going to fulfill orders and figure out how to run a business - ahhhh! First things first though I need to learn how to spell "forcible" - of course I managed to spell it wrong (forceable looks right to me!) on Chris' business cards, banner and when showing the tool on Facebook - oops!
