NC - continued

Skylar and Grandpa Roy.
We spent the second week of our trip at Chris' mom's house near Chapel Hill. We spent a lot of time with family Rachel, Estelle, Granny, Roy and Chris's cousins and their families. We went into Chapel Hill one day (where the University of North Carolina is) and wandered around, ate lunch, bought some UNC gear and went to the brewery. Very cool town, we would have liked to explore it a bit more . .. next time. Granny, Eric (cousin & family) and Aunt Rachel (& family) all live next to one another on some beautiful land with chickens, guinea hens, puppies, Roxy ("big fat pig" as the kids called her) and of course our favorite Oscar the donkey! Oscar greets you with a loud "Hee Haw!" whenever you come to visit.
Wandering around Chapel Hill - here's our picture with the tar heels logo (UNC mascot).

North Carolina was great, the kids had a blast. I asked Skylar what her favorite part of the trip was and she said "washing the car." I guess our kids are easy to please! :)Feeding Oscar
No use for one of these at our house - sorry Chris!

We took Brooks to his first movie Toy Story 3 - we all loved it but of course I was the only one crying my eyes out - can't take me anywhere!
