Wedding and Easter

Skylar was so excited to wear her flowered dress and to see Brooks dress up in his "bow tie" because she thought he was going to "be soooo cute!" Course Brooks didn't care how cute he was he just wanted the button up shirt and tie off!

Easter weekend we went to Chris Thatcher;s (Bridget and Austin's son) wedding. Crazy that "little" Christopher is married and has a little 3 yo step daughter (that is Skylar's new bff by the way) - makes me amazed at how long we've been here in Austin and how much has happened. It was a beautiful wedding and very entertaining watching the kids rock out, there was some backspins and cartwheels and all sorts of serious breakdancing moves going on!

There is no shortage of candy around our house. We had an egg hunt at the Union Hall, one at Skylar's school and one with the neighbors on Easter morning. Brooks was hilarious, he got quite a few eggs in his pail and then started chucking them into the bushes - he definitely wouldn't have done that if he realized there was candy inside!

New rain boots, candy, books, art stuff - the Easter Bunny is awesome!
Wow - I woke up 5 minutes ago and now I'm eating chocolate!!! This is going to be a gooooood day!
Heavy pail!
Confetti eggs with the neighbors!

Chris took his promotion test (for driver) this past Wednesday and did much better than he was expecting. With his points for seniority he ranked 8 out of 300 something and will be moving stations and/or shifts in the next 2-3 weeks. He was freaking out at first (so was I to tell you the truth) but is more excited about the prospect of a change now that he's had some time to digest. He's been on 18's b-shift for 12 years and they are like family to us so it will definitely be a bittersweet move wherever he goes.
Posing.
Aarghh!
