Fire tornado!
We rang in the new year at First Night Austin, a community celebration downtown. There were performers, exhibits and a very cool parade with some very funky things (like Austin bike zoo http://www.austinbikezoo.org/ and Hoop Circle http://hoopcircle.com/HoopCircle/Welcome.html) it was really neat. We would have liked to stay and explore more but the weather had gone from shorts and t-shirts weather in the afternoon to freezing cold so we only stayed a few hours. We ended up at home getting the kids to bed late and I struggled to stay awake until midnight (didn't make it - thankfully Chris woke me up!).

We started the new year with new hair do's too! Here's Skylar showing off her new cute short cut (in a cardboard box from Christmas that the kids have been using for all sorts of adventures!
