The Moren Family

The kids goofing off at home. Brooks loves putting on other people's shoes especially Skylar's and she thinks it's funny to watch him walking around in girl shoes. She loves painting her nails and finally convinced Chris that she needed to paint his and Brooks's nails when I was at work. I think I need to buy her some darker colors (maybe blue) that will really show up next time - the glitter paint is definitely too subtle for boys. :)

Summer if flying by, in fact Skylar will be starting back to school two weeks from tomorrow. Skylar finished up her swim lessons and has been so much more confident in the water! She still won't give up her water wings but at least she will swim and put her head underwater (this has been great as far as bath/showers are concerned no more fussing when we're washing her hair!). We went to a cool "water park" pool with the neighbors and Skylar had a blast. She was still a bit young for the bigger slides but really liked the smaller ones. At the water park.

Brooks is fully transformed from my sweet little baby into a toddler - including tantrums. Whatever he sees that catches his eyes he wants and right then! There is LOTS of pointing and grunting in my house right now, we're trying to work on "please" but so far he hasn't caught on. He is very social and waves to all the cars that drive by and people we see on the street. He used to kiss all the time but has given that up. He's still drooling like a mad man, but no new teeth as of yet.
