Children's Museum

We took the long way back to the car to enjoy the downtown scenery (Skylar loves the big cranes and construction areas).
This weekend we went to the Children's Museum for "other" Skylar's birthday party. It was really awesome because they rented the whole museum so the usual crowds were gone - whoo! There were only about 20 kids running around the place and most of them were 5 and under. Skylar was MIA for most of the time and when she was around she would call me over to look at some exhibit or another and then in that split second Brooks would be off! Brooks loves exploring like any other kid his age and really enjoys throwing and kicking balls and the run away from mommy game. I almost forgot, he also likes the throw food on the ground game - that one goes over really well at b-day parties. Anyway, here are a few pictures from the party.

It's strange to think that a year ago tonight I was "sleeping" in the hospital with my new baby boy who had meningitis . . . wondering if he was going to be ok, worried about what the future would hold for him. Today I am so thankful for Brooks and Skylar and amazed at the difference 1 year can make in the life of a baby!
