Getting ready!
Skylar had her big dance recital at the performing arts auditorium at Texas State last Saturday. It was exciting for her to get all dressed up and especially to get to wear makeup! The day of the recital Brooks had a fever (teething) and no morning nap, so by noon when the recital started he was fiesty! This combined with the fact that the recital was close to 3 HOURS long led to us having our hands full. While Chris did enjoy watching Skylar dance, I think he's glad he doesn't have to go through that again (at least for another year!). Going to Skylar's recital definitely brought back memories of my dance classes and recitals (OK, what was the name of the dance studio?? Knights dance? Someone help me!) - fun (but very hilarious at the same time)! Most of these are pictures from the dress rehearsal.

Tomsen and Kellen came to the recital and brought Skylar some beautiful flowers!

Brooks is getting more confident on his own two feet. Here's a quick video of him walking . . . can't believe he'll be a year in another month!
