Skylar's visit to the ER

Here is Nana trying to keep Skylar from falling off the couch at the coffee shop! Skylar is notoriously hard to photograph these days, there's too much fun stuff to get into!

Things have been crazy here. Chris' mom came for a visit this past week and had a fun time hanging out and cuddling with Skylar. Skylar wanted her to change all her diapers (fine with me) and Nana obliged since she doesn't get to do it that often! I know Skylar enjoyed getting what she wanted (within reason of course) just because she's so sweet and asked her Nana, "please." Unfortunately, Skylar had a cold almost the whole time Nana was here so we didn't get to do as many fun things as we wanted. Skylar's cold developed into an ear infection and she ended up having an acute allergic reaction to her antibiotics. Her face swelled to where she was almost unrecognizable and she had hives all over her body. (Thankfully, Nana is a children's ER nurse so she kept me somewhat calm) After 3 doses of Benadryl and continued swelling the pediatrician wanted us to take her to the ER. Skylar was a mess when we got there, they gave her a steroid shot, Motrin and Benadryl and by the time we left it was like she was a different person (back to normal). Anyway, Chris and I are happy she finally slept last night (and so did we until 9:30 this morning!!) and is feeling better! Since Skylar was so good in the ER and was feeling better we had popsicles outside when we got home from the hospital! She shared with Ronin . . . how nice!
